If I want to work in Japan in the future, would international studies be a good major for me?

East-Asia

I am planning to major in international studies, specializing in East Asian studies with a minor in international business. My plan rn is to work in the US for a year after graduating, and then move to Japan. I am unsure about the specific field I want to work in, but I am hoping to work in a company that has relationships with Japan, so that I would have some experience before moving. I have lived in Japan for 11 years since birth, so I am fluent in the language, but I feel like I’m not strong in Japanese vocab and kanjis so I plan on self-learning as I pursue my degree as well.
