Words of encouragement from someone who once failed out of OSU to just have graduated with an Mechanical Engineering degree

Hi all, i’ve browsed this sub and have seen some people going through academic probation or not having a good semester. Because i’m me, i feel i’ve done much worse than all of you so here is my story:
i started OSU fall 2014. from the get go i did bad and was placed on probation and did even worse the following spring and got kicked out. I was freaking out i couldn’t believe what i’ve done yet i was consciously doing it. i went to CSCC and started paying my way through it. i couldn’t afford much so in that entire 15-16 i only got to do calc 1 and calc 2. 16-17 did no more than 11 credits in total. in 17-18 i started acting up again and failing classes. With no end near in sight i applied for financial aid then i started finally doing 15 credit semesters fall ‘18, spring 19, fall 19. Without having to worry about how to pay for the semester i got my AS degree fall 19 with a 3.4 GPA (i wasn’t messing around) and wanted to be back at OSU for spring but was recommended to skip spring so i can apply for Fresh Start (5 years since my last osu semester) to erase my bad grade and start fresh. I was back Summer 2020 and got into my major that fall and now graduating at 25.
advice for all of you is to never give up and that there is always a way! another advice is if you aren’t as dumb as i was to just get your degree over with and don’t stretch out this part of your life because it was more grueling then it had to be. Good luck to you all.
